Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect at therapy?

Intake Session: (Individual, Couple, Family)

Our first meeting is atypical to a standard session but it’s a vital sequence to achieving lasting change. In this initial period, we review paperwork, begin to know one another, and gather a bird’s eye view of your current wellbeing. This section of therapy also provides us with the goals you want to set.

I utilize SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time oriented) which helps create a roadmap for the rest of treatment. The initial intake also lets us know if we will be a good fit. If for some reason you should ever want a referral to a different clinician I’m more than happy to refer out.

Standard Session:

The standard session normally operate on a weekly basis. Like the initial intake, regular meetings start at the top of the hour (i.e. 3:00pm) and end forty-five to fifty minutes later (3:45-3:50pm).

There is a fixed 24 hour cancellation policy for each scheduled session.

“How long does therapy last?”

Each person has different needs. Some clients only come to therapy for a few sessions and others for many sessions. However, it is common to see clients for 10-15 sessions before meeting therapeutic goals.

“Do you see clients virtually?”

Yes. I offer treatment for both online and in-office visits.

“Do you prescribe medication?”

No. But I’d be happy to connect you with a medication provider.

Please note: I am not accepting Insurance at this time.
